When it comes to buying daily necessities, some people prefer to shop in grocery stores now and then to gather all the things they need, while others prefer to go to a supermarket and buy everything all at once. Which do you prefer and why?

From my perspective, shopping in a supermarket and buy everything at once is a better idea, although some individuals prefer to shop in grocery stores.

To begin with, it is universally acknowledged that buying in a supermarket is much more convenient. The primary reason is that people certainly can buy whatever they need for a certain period of time, like a week, at once. As a result, they can save a lot of time and avoid the trouble of visiting a grocery store now and then to gather what they need at that time. My own experience could perfectly prove that. I go to a big supermarket in the downtown every Friday afternoon, which is a routine for me to buy what my family will consume in the next week. To be specific, I buy all the milk, vegetables, meat and so on according to my shopping list, with which I save a lot of time. All the time I spend on shopping for one week is only 45 minutes. On the other hand, my friend Lily goes to the grocery store every day to buy what she needs, who spends 20 minutes every day on buying. One time, she even went to the store just to buy a bottle of milk and the entire time added up to 140 minutes for a whole week. Thus, visiting a supermarket and buy all the things we need can save a lot of time.

Secondly, it is undoubted that individuals can save a large sum of money. The primary reason is that big supermarkets usually provide lots of discounts and they can earn some bonus points. Consequently, we can spend less on purchasing daily commodities. However, grocery stores cannot offer such benefits for consumers, which may charge more in total after people pay for the items. The story happening to my sister could perfectly prove the statement mentioned above. She used to shop in a grocery store in our neighborhood until she found a big supermarket near her workplace was such a good place. Last month, the big supermarket gave a big discount on a milk brand she liked and she could buy one box of such milk with half the price. Compared with that, she checked the price the same milk in the grocery store she always visited and found it still sold at the original price. Thus, she soon became a loyal customer of the big supermarket and she happily found that as she bought more, she could enjoy the membership price, which means she could save more money. We can conclude from her story that shopping in big supermarkets can enable us to save money.

In conclusion, I recommend shopping in big supermarkets and buy what I need all at once.
